Odawaraya changed from its original business of manufacturing tsukudani to manufacturing pickles after the war, and during the Showa era, pickles changed from the taste of mothers pickling at home to mass-market items bought at stores.As the market expanded, so did our company. I have done so.

I believe that in the Heisei era, pickles have changed from being a side dish that is always on the table to becoming a luxury item. Under these circumstances, rather than returning to our mother’s taste, we are taking on the challenge of making pickles at a pickle shop, which takes a lot of time and effort, and we are working to create products that use domestically produced raw materials and minimize additives.

Since 2017, we have also opened a directly managed pickle store and AMEKAZE, which sells selected local foods. We will continue to aim to be a company that can meet the expectations of our customers while responding to the needs of the times and changes in the social environment.
